5 Color optionsSony has long led thin-and-light notebook innovation--from their first 505 Series (1997) to the latest TT Series productivity workhorses. The latest Vaio X series integrates all of Sony's design and technology expertise for a device that challenges any standing expectations for ultraportable PCs.

At just about a half-inch (0.55” / 13.9mm) the X Series maintains thinness throughout the entire carbon fiber chassis. The X Series is thinner than most cell phones, yet still durable. For this we credit both the chassis quality and its aluminum reinforced keyboard. Weighing only 1.6-pounds while integrating a 11.1” LED backlit display with 1366x768 resolution is simply insane. And with its nearly full size keyboard, the X-series is an incredibly easy to use notebook that rivals the size and weight of most netbooks.

The Vaio X Series is performs well. Like its even smaller cousin, the Vaio P Series, it features an Intel Atom Z550 CPU running at 2.0 GHz and 2GB of RAM. The Intel GMA 500 Graphics and 256GB Solid State drive (SSD) let the X fly through most daily tasks, including video and Flash.

The Vaio X is available in four color options: matte Black, Champagne Gold, Silver, and a glossy Premium Carbon finish. A variety of battery options let you use time, from the [standard] acceptable 5 hours (~3 hour real world use) to the [enhanced] wonderful 10 hours (~7 hours real world use) enhanced, and even the astonishing 20 hour (~14 hours real world use) extended battery.

When purchased from Dynamism, the Sony X Series includes unlimited toll-free tech phone and email support, and up to 3 years Dynamism Rescue Warranty.
