Apple Ships MacBook Air Without Flash

Apple has planned to ship its new MacBook Air notebooks without pre-installing Adobe's Flash software. The company has also decided to ship the future PCs without Flash.

The decision was taken in order to protect its customers rather than harming the software maker, a spokesperson said.

However, the users who want to install Flash on the notebook will have to manually download the software from Adobe's website.

A spokesperson for Apple said, “We’re happy to continue to support Flash on the Mac and the best way for users to always have the most up to date and secure version is to download it directly from Adobe.”

Earlier, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has strongly objected to Flash, saying that the software is bug infested and harms the battery life of a device.
