Logitech Revue To Hit Markets In October

Logitech Revue, carrying Google TV, is set to hit markets by the end of this October, the company announced on Wednesday.

“We are delighted to be working with DISH Network to offer consumers what we believe is a transformational TV experience -- through a combination of DISH's programming and DISH's integration with the Logitech Revue with Google TV,” vice president and general manager of Logitech Greg Rhine was quoted as saying.

Revue, Logitech’s set-top box for Google TV was unveiled on October 6. The price of the product has been fixed at $299, closer to the earlier estimates.

“Revue comes with an easy to set up companion box and an intuitive companion keyboard controller. Simply connect your TV, cable or satellite set-top box, and your Internet connection to the Logitech Revue, and you’ve got Google TV. As long as your TV has an HDMI port, you are ready for Google TV,” the Logitech’s website said.

The Revue is now available for pre-orders with Logitech, Amazon and Best Buy. Besides, the subscribers who already have Dish Network can buy Revue for $179.

Google TV is a set top box platform and is based on Android mobile OS. Google TV provides access to videos, apps, shows, DVRs, websites and TV channels.
